Zack Thieneman
Zachary Thieneman, PsyD., HSP, CGP is a Louisville, Kentucky native and was born and raised in Fisherville. Besides living in Albany, New York for his doctoral internship, he has lived in Louisville his entire life. Dr. Thieneman completed his education at local universities including his undergraduate degree at Bellarmine University and his graduate degree at Spalding University. He’s a huge fan of Louisville and its community.
Dr. Thieneman has clinical expertise in transitional therapy (to and from more intensive care), family therapy, group therapy, autism-spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD and related disorders, trauma, identity development, school refusal, and other psychological issues. He works with kids, adolescents, and adults. He knows the importance of working with other professionals and values communication to coordinate care and maximize therapeutic benefits. Dr. Thieneman brings compassion, communication, openness, and humor to the therapeutic relationship.
Personally, Dr. Thieneman enjoys exercising, being outside, hiking, kayaking, travelling, or laying in the sun pretending to be a lizard. When inside, he enjoys cooking, watching movies, and playing games with his friends and family. As for fandoms, he is a huge Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Star Trek fan. Dr. Thieneman is a nerd at heart who takes his work seriously as his way to care for the Louisville community with whom he feels deeply connected.
